This tip comes from the Swedish 2nd tier, in a match between Osters and Bromma. I am tipping Osters to come out victorious, albeit in a draw no bet fashion. I am more comfortable with the insurance as I feel there is very little chance of an away win, hence the high stakes (9).

The division has only just started for this season with only 6 rounds of matches being played as of yet. So far however, Osters are sitting top of the league. Winning 5 and drawing the other game.

Bromma are 4th. Winning 4 and losing 2.

Osters have won all 3 of their home matches, scoring 6 and conceding 3.

Bromma have won 1 and lost 2 of their away matches so far, scoring 4 and conceding 7.

Last year Osters had the best defence in the whole league.

In last year's corresponding fixture Osters beat Bromma 2-0 at home.

All this makes me feel the home side will win . They are available at 2.25 in the FTR market but I want the insurance of DNB. 1.62 with 188bet is the best you'll get right now.

Torquay - Cheltenham

In the first leg of this playoff semi final Cheltenham beat Tprquay 2-0 and torquay will have it all to do if they are to progress to the play off...

In the first leg of this playoff semi final Cheltenham beat Tprquay 2-0 and torquay will have it all to do if they are to progress to the play off final and although Im not sure they will have enough to win by enough goals to progress I do think they will win.

In the regular season Torquay played 23 home matches winning 12, drawing 8 and losing just 3 and the main reason why they did not qualify automatically is their draw count was too high. The encouraging inf is that a lot of these draws came in teh early part of the season when they had a poor start and after mid Oct they won 8 out of the next 10 home matches. They do not score many goals which i think will be their downfall for qualification but they also have a very mean defence and will limit the Cheltenham attacks.

In the regular season Cheltenham started so well and were top of the league at one point in the season but their form at the end of teh campaign was poor and they lost their last 6 away matches on the trot. in those matches they scored just 1 goal and with Torquays defence I think they may well struggle to score.

In summary Torquay will need to go all out to win this match and it could be very entertaining and I think they will win the match in 90 mins - it may be enough to win the tie overall but they may well fall short.

THE VOICE is just 6/1 to be dropped by the BBC according to Ladbrokes.

As Britain`s Got Talent heated up The Voice ratings took a substantial hit and should viewers fail to return between now and the final it`s just 6/1 that the next series gets panned by the Beeb.

Simon Cowell couldn`t resist having a dig at the rival show and the bookies quote 100/1 that his wishes are granted and that The Voice is aired on the radio. And there`s a 50/1 chance the show slips down in the hierarchy to BBC2.

Ruth Brown maintains her lead at the top of the betting at 7/4 with second favourite Jaz Ellington chalked up at 5/2. The bookies can also report they haven`t taken a single bet on rank outsiders Toni Warne (100/1) and Cassius Henry (100/1) in over a fortnight.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "Punters feel like The Voice is starting to drag on. We`re not sure Simon Cowell`s powerful enough to demote the show but he`ll definitely give it a go."

She added: "For the third consecutive week Ruth and Jaz have been the clear favourites, leaving the rest of the competition miles behind."

*BUENOS AIRES:**Fluminese face Boca Juniors in the outstanding quarter final of the Copa Libertadores in a tie reminiscent of the epic semi-final of...

BUENOS AIRES:*Fluminese face Boca Juniors in the outstanding quarter final of the Copa Libertadores in a tie reminiscent of the epic semi-final of 2008. Thursday`s visitors came out on top that night and have developed into one of Brazil`s best sides. However, Boca are fancied to be too strong in front of their own fans and go into the game as 4/5 (bet £50 to win £40 profit) with Sportingbet. The draw is 13/5 with BetVictor, while Fluminese are 4/1 with the same firm to earn a vital away win ahead of the second leg back in Rio.*

Although Boca appear in good form ahead of the game, with just one defeat in their last sixteen matches, their defence has looked unsteady in their last few outings and they have conceded four in their last six. Fluminese will fancy themselves to be able to get at their hosts, and have won their last four in all competitions, but will be without midfielder Deco and striker Fred, who been two of their key performers this campaign.**

With this in mind, bookmakers have made a slim 1-0 win for Boca the joint-favourite score for the game, 6/1 with Betfred. At the same price with bet365 is a 1-1 draw, which would give Fluminese a precious away goal to take back to Brazil and leave them strong favourites to qualify, while the Brazilians can be backed at 10/1 with Paddy Power to go one better and come away with a 1-0 win. In the event of a goalless *draw, meanwhile, an 8/1 shot with Blue Square, bet365 will refund losing HT/FT, correct score and scorecast bets on the game. However, both sides boast strong attacking lineups and relatively vulnerable defences, and a 3-1 Boca win, given Fluminese`s injuries, could be better value at 16/1 with Ladbrokes.*

bet365 offer best odds of 5/4 that the game features at least 2.5 goals, and this looks as if it could represent value given Fluminese`s recent results. The Brazilians have seen that many in five of their last eight games, while Boca`s last four games have thrown up twelve goals in total. The Under can be backed at 4/6 with BetVictor, while those who fancy a repeat of 2008`s classic can back Over 3.5 goals at *7/2 with Betinternet.

Boca are 29/20 with BetVictor to lead at both half-time and full-time, as they have in their last three wins, and 7/2 with Betfred to win the match after drawing at the break. BetVictor offer 4/1 that both halves are drawn, while Fluminese/Fluminese and draw/Fluminese can be backed at 17/2 and 10/1 respectively with bet365.

Bookmakers believe Boca are ever so slightly the stronger of the two sides, in light of the absences of Deco and Fred for Thursday`s visitors, and the Argentiniean side are 17/20 favourites with Sportingbet to reach the semi-finals, with Fluminese at evens with bet365. Both sides, meanwhile, are 15/2 with Blue Square and 888Sport to win this year`s Copa Libertadores.

Boca Juniors v Fluminese kicks off at 23.45 BST.

*SERAVEZZA, ITALY -**There was a big shock on Wednesday as Mark Cavendish, who traded at long odds-on in-running after going under the flamme rouge,...

SERAVEZZA, ITALY -*There was a big shock on Wednesday as Mark Cavendish, who traded at long odds-on in-running after going under the flamme rouge, failed to win stage 11, a stage destined for the sprinters. Roberto Ferrari was the man who caused the upset, to remind punters that there is no such thing as a certainty when it comes to Grand Tours.*

Thursday’s stage sees the peloton returns to the mountains, but even though it is ‘only’ 155 km long, there will plenty of nerves as the GC contenders test each other out. There is still plenty to play for and the Giro is highly unlikely to be won tomorrow. It goes down as one of the medium mountain stages, and even though the Villa Tassani (5 km at 6%, 12 km from the finish) could see some fireworks, it looks like a stage that will be won by a break-away.

With that in mind, punters need to look outside the box for a possible value selection for the stage 12 betting - the box being Scarponi, Basso, Schleck, Kreuziger and Rodriguez.

100/1 shot for here*Frank Schleck lost 45 seconds in the GC on Wednesday, but even though he is now 2’11” off the pink jersey, he is unlikely to be let let loose on a break-away. It would simply be too dangerous, even with the decisive stages still to come, as it will be much harder for the peloton to control the breaks than it was on Wednesday when Team Sky were able to reel in the escapees.

Miguel Angel Rubiano is the 9/2 second favourite in bet365’s King of the Mountains betting, and could have a good stab at bagging some vital points before Friday’s flat stage. The Colombian won stage six and is the proud wearer of the Maglia Azzurra at the moment, and could well have a stab at this given that he is 17’25” behind Joaquin Rodriguez in the GC (pink jersey standings). He is clearly in great form, but the downside to backing him here at 80/1 with bet365 is that both Pozzovivo and Rujano will have their eyes on him.

Giovanni Visconti is 2’06” behind in the GC and will be keen to get in a break, especially as he will not be seen as a threat in the mountains proper. Visconti has been looking lively recently, finishing third in Assisi and then making a half-hearted dash in the final few kilometers on Wednesday, although he was seriously up against it against the likes of Cavendish on a flat finish. This could give the Italian champ a chance to shine and finally land his elusive maiden stage victory on the Giro - he really cannot be ruled out and he is sure to trade much shorter in-running on Betfair if he is able to get away. He is currently the favourite to win the stage at 9/1 with Skybet and looks a fairly good proposition at the odds on offer, although he will need a slice of luck. *

Belgian cyclist Thomas De Gendt took a stage in the Paris - Nice this year and is considered for this at 16/1 with Blue Square. De Gendt was in with a shout in stage nine, but looks unlikely to win the points classification given that he is 35th in the standings. Obviously it is a huge plus that De Gendt is there sniffing for points and wins, but his odds do not look overly generous given the profile of the stage.

Fabio Felline is put in at 16/1 with Ladbrokes to win this for Team*Androni Giocattoli, but he is on his first Giro here and frustrated backers by finishing second in stage nine. Felline is a talented young cyclist, and could be one to get in a break-away.

It would take something colossal for Joaquin Rodriguez to bag this at 18/1 with Blue Square, and he looks ignoring here despite his good form which he has carried through from the classics. *

Sandy Casar should be on punters’ radars at 25/1 with Paddy Power. If this is his day, then he will be 5/1 in a break-away in-running. The question is whether Casar will actually make it, as 25/1 shots Bambilla, Cunego and Ventoso could also stake their claim.

Stage 12 of the Giro is on Thursday 17 May and is live on Eurosport.

Ladies and gentlemen, the England squad for Euro 2012 has been announced. It includes world-class players such as John Ruddy, Leighton Baines and Daniel Welbeck. Don’t all cheer in anticipation at once (unless you’re Scottish).

Here’s the 23 players that England will be taking to the finals this summer:

Goalkeepers

Joe Hart (Manchester City), Rob Green (West Ham United), John Ruddy (Norwich City)

Defenders

Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Joleon Lescott (Manchester City), John Terry (Chelsea)

Midfielders

Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Stewart Downing (Liverpool), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Manchester City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Scott Parker (Tottenham Hotspur), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Ashley Young (Manchester United)

Forwards

Andy Carroll (Liverpool), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham Hotspur), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Daniel Welbeck (Manchester United)

As England squads go, that really is a low quality bunch of players. The forward line, in particular, looks awful - especially given Rooney will be banned for the first two games of the tournament.

Carroll, Welbeck and Defoe don’t even always get in the starting line-up for their clubs, but England will be relying on them for goals against France and Sweden in the group stages – England’s two toughest games in Group D.

As such England are appalling value in my opinion to win Euro 2012 at a top-priced 11/1 (bet £1 to win £11) with Boylesports. I’d rate them at 40/1, if that. They will be lucky to make the knockout stage, which also makes them shocking value at 9/5 with Boylesports to win Group D.

England are 7/4 with BetVictor to go out in the group stages and that looks a very decent price to me. France are considerably better than England and the English never beat Sweden in competitive matches. Ukraine, meanwhile, are bound to overperform with all the benefits of home advantage.

I fancy England to go into the final game against Ukraine with either 1 or 2 points under their belt and then get another draw to crash out. As such I wouldn’t put off punters taking up a bit of England to finish bottom of Group D at 5/1 with bet365. Ukraine are no great shakes but as mentioned do have home advantage so could conceivably challenge for qualification, leaving England the worst of the bunch.

In terms of the England top goalscorer market, much as I think there is a teeny possibility of England not scoring an entire goal throughout the tournament, they probably will fluke one in somehow, so I wouldn’t be tempted by the 25/1 on No England Goalscorer with bet365. If I had to have a bet on the market I’d probably back Ashley Young at a best price of 7/1 with Paddy Power. He’s pretty prolific for England given he`s a winger rather than a striker and has scored in over a quarter of his England appearances to date. Given how poor the England forward line looks without Rooney, it’s a fair chance he’ll play just off the main striker, which should give him a better chance to hit the back of the net.

*NEW DELHI:**The Royal Challengers Bangalore must win their two remaining regular season games if they are to reach the final four of this year`s...

NEW DELHI:*The Royal Challengers Bangalore must win their two remaining regular season games if they are to reach the final four of this year`s IPL, and part one of their task gets under way on Thursday evening at the Ferozshah Kotla. Bookmakers have found it absolutely impossible to split the pair in the betting, with the home side having already qualified for the play offs, and both sides are available at odds of 10/11 with bet365 and BetVictor.*

Delhi have enjoyed a marvelously consistent season, winning ten of their 14 games so far, but have been looked human in recent games and will need their big guns to return to form if they are to overcome a Bangalore side that boasts some real matchwinners. Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers have performed admirably at times for the Royal Challengers, who have simply dropped too many games when it looked harder to win, but the rest of their stars are arguably yet to fire and they could take advantage of their greater hunger to throw up what many would consider an upset on Thursday night.

The game could well hang on the performances of the two sides` repective leading men with the bat, a department in which both are blessed. Chris Gayle is, of course, never to be overlooked and the West Indian is 2/1 with Ladbrokes to top score for his side after so far leading the IPL in total runs and total sixes. He is followed in the Bangalore betting Tillakaratne Dilshan, who has averaged exactly 50 in his last two games, at 7/2 with Paddy Power, while the man who boasts the IPL`s best strike-rate, AB de Villiers, can be backed at 9/2 with Ladbrokes.

De Villiers is followed closely in the strike-rate department by the opener for the opposition, Virender Sehwag, who is 11/4 with BetVictor to top-score for his team. Next in the betting is David Warner at 3/1 with Stan James, but with the Daredevils already qualified some of the middle order may be in line for promotion and it could wll pay to back the in-form Naman Ojha at odds of 8/1 with BetVictor.

With the game expected to be such a close contest, it is little surprise that bet365 offer just 10/11 on Delhi to lead after six overs of play, with Bangalor available at even money with Stan James. Both sides, as we have seen, have particularly strong top orders and are likely to make powerful starts. However, with the chance that Delhi will give some of their key men a break, and with Bangalore knowing it is now or never if their stars are to come to life and lift them into the play offs the value appears to be on the visitors opening slightly the better of the two.*

Delhi have impressed all round this year and have been chalked up as 2/1 favourites to win the IPL this season. While Bangalor need two wins from two to even reach the final four, though, they remain a threat to anyone on their day based on pure talent, and are no longer than the 10/1 available with Sportingbet to come out on top.

Delhi v Bangalore gets under way at 15.30 BST and is live on ITV4.

*LIVERPOOL, UK - *Kenny Dalglish has stepped down from his position as Liverpool manager after a poor season that saw the Reds finish eighth in the...

LIVERPOOL, UK - Kenny Dalglish has stepped down from his position as Liverpool manager after a poor season that saw the Reds finish eighth in the Premier League, behind Everton and well off the title pace. The bad season at Anfield was only improved by a League Cup win and an FA Cup final appearance, but that is not good enough for the fans and players at one of England`s biggest clubs. Liverpool lost as many games as they won in the Premier League this season, which must be one of the main reasons for Dalglish`s dismissal.

One mananger forever associated with success at Liverpool is Rafa Benitez, who is currently quoted at best odds of 4/1 with bet365 and BetVictor to re-sign for the Merseyside giants. Whether he makes the shortlist is a matter for debate but it is likely that he would be a popular choice with the fans after his success at the club. At the current prices Benitez looks to offer a shade of value near the top of the market.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez seems to be linked with every available managerial position at the moment and is currently favourite to take over at Liverpool and Aston Villa. Villa look a more likely destination for the improving Spaniard and the best price of 7/4 currently available at William Hill and Coral for him to be next Liverpool manager looks a very poor price with no value whatsoever for the punter. He has done fantastic work at Wigan and Swansea in recent years, but he would have to step up his game to take charge and be successful at Liverpool.

Andre Villas-Boas has gone off the radar since being sacked by Chelsea, but he might have a chance to prove himself in the Premier League with Liverpool. Stan James and bet365 go 14/1 that the Portuguese lands the Anfield job, but his record at Chelsea will not do him any favours if he is to apply for the role. His efforts to revamp Chelsea and play youth over experience may not have worked but he could do a decent job at Anfield if given a decent transfer budget over the summer. His moves in the market are worth keeping an eye on but he is by no means a stand out candidate at that price.

Swansea City have been praised all season for their style of play and in Brendan Rogers they have a coach who is not afraid to play football the way he wants to, and perhaps that is just what Liverpool need. Top priced at 14/1 with Paddy Power and Coral. Rogers is an interesting candidate but the price looks too short for a manager who is still building his career and will likely get his chance at a bigger club in a few seasons rather than this summer.

One candidate who looks to be too long in the betting is Martin O`Neill. He has been successful practically everywhere he`s managed and has more than proved himself capable of managing a big club in his time at Celtic. The 33/1 quoted early on has gone but there is still plenty of value in the 25/1 quoted by bet365 and BetVictor. O`Neill was shortlisted by Liverpool when they chose Roy Hodgson instead and is likely to be shortlisted again as he is an outstanding British manager. He has only recently taken over at Sunderland, but money talks and everyone has their price.

Other candidates of note include Norwich boss Paul Lambert (16/1 with bet365 and Coral), Frank Rijkaard (33/1 at Bwin), Carlo Ancelotti (33/1 at bet365) and Pep Guardiola (40/1 at Skybet).

Odds correct at time of writing and liable to fluctuation

Rafa Benitez continues to prove popular for a return to Liverpool as Liverpool confirmed Kenny Dalglish’s sacking today.

Punters are not ruling out Liverpool again turning turn to a former manager with Benitez backed in from 4/1 to 13/8 since Paddy Power suspended betting on Dalglish’s departure 24 hours ago. Benitez had been as big as 33/1 a few weeks ago but having remained living in the area the Spaniard will surely be quick to put his hat in the ring for another crack with the Carling Cup champions.

However Benitez is presently headed in the market by respected Wigan boss Roberto Martinez. Martinez is proving almost as popular with the money and his odds have also shortened over the last 24 hours to 6/4 from 3/1.

Unlike Benitez other names current amongst the front-runners in Paddy Power’s betting would appear to have obstacles in their way with 10/1 joint third favourite Jose Mourinho expected to remain at Real Madrid and having never enjoyed a good relationsahip with the Liverpool support whilst fellow 10/1 shot Martin O’Neill only joined his boyhood club Sunderland back in December. One biug mover today has been Franck Rijkaard with the Dutchman currently 12/1 from 25/1.

Paddy Power said: ”Punters are not altogether surprised at Kenny’s departure judging by the betting we have seen but when has it ever worked out well when a manager returns to a club for a second spell? But Liverpool is still Liverpool and a massive club so who will replace Kenny is likely to become the biggest ‘next manager’ betting market we have ever seen as speculation and debate rages in the media and pubs up and down the land.”

Next Liverpool Manager

6-4 Martinez

13-8 Benitez

10-1 Mourinho, O’Neill

12-1 Rijkaard, Villas-Boas

Martinez Money For Anfield Role Following Dalglish Departure

Bookies have been inundated with bets for current Wigan manager, Roberto Martinez to take over the reins at Anfield, following the sacking of Kenny Dalglish, and he is now 7-4 (from 5-1) with Coral bookmakers.

The highly respected Wigan boss has been touted as the ideal replacement at Liverpool, and was the immediate choice of the punters.

"After being summonsed before the boss in Boston this week, the writing was on the wall for Kenny, and no sooner had we released our betting on the replacement, the interest in Martinez started and we were forced to slash his price," said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is the 6/5 favourite in Skybet`s next Liverpool manager betting market after Kenny Dalglish left the club on Wednesday afternoon.

Martinez has attracted the majority of support from punters and consequently been cut from 25/1 to replace Dalglish after successfully masterminding the Latics` Premier League survival.

Rafael Benitez is the 5/2 second favourite having led the Reds to Champions League glory in 2005, before adding the FA Cup in 2006 and secured a second-place finish in the Premier League in 2008/09. The former Valencia coach has been out of work since an ill-fated spell at Inter Milan in 2010/11 and has been linked to a number of Premier League jobs in recent weeks.

The online betting company has Frank Rijkaard as a 10/1 chance to take over at Anfield, with Norwich manager Paul Lambert available at 14/1 and assistant manager Steve Clarke the same price to take the reins at Anfield.

Skybet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: "We`ve been mainly been seeing money for Martinez with punters clearly holding a high opinion for him following his fine work at Wigan, while Benitez`s links with the club and availability make him an obvious option."

King Kenny to be dethroned by Martinez

ROBERTO MARTINEZ is the 7/4 favourite to take over at Liverpool according to Ladbrokes.

The Wigan boss has been installed as the clear 7/4 favourite to replace Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool manager following his dismissal on Wednesday afternoon.

Former England manager Fabio Capello has hinted at a return to management and the door could be open for him at Anfield as the joint second favourite at 8/1, along with Rafa Benitez (8/1) who could to return to the club he lead to Champions League victory in 2005.

Sacked Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas and Jose Mourinho also share the spoils at 8/1. Soon-to-be ex-Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola (14/1) and Gus Hiddink (20/1) are among the outsiders, however it`s Martinez that`s attracting all the early money from punters.

In what would be a controversial appointment it`s 33/1 that David Moyes switches from the blue half of Merseyside to the red half.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "Punters have jumped ship incredibly quickly and are now piling into Martinez`s odds of taking over at Liverpool rather than Aston Villa. Dalglish had an awful season in charge and it soon became a case of when and not if he would be shown the door."
John Gosden`s filly quickened in the style of a very good horse after coming alongside the gambled-on favourite Twirl and pulled away from her rival to record a four-and-a-half length victory.

"The Fugue`s victory in the Musidora has breathed life into the Oaks market and the Epsom classic has a seriously classy look to it as we get closer to June," said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.

The Fugue is now joint-third favourite for the Oaks alongside Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Vow. Kissed heads the market at 7/2 with stablemate Maybe just behind at 4/1. Twirl is out to 33/1 (from 16/1) after finishing second this afternoon.

Looking ahead to racing on the Knavesmire tomorrow, Bonfire heads the market for the Betfred Dante with the sponsors at 5/2. Aidan O`Brien`s Ernest Hemingway is the 7/2 joint-second favourite alongside Godolphin`s Mandaean whilst Etkihaam is a 5/1 shot.

Coral today announced that it would be paying out early on the "To Make The England Squad" Market on those players that Roy Hodgson today said would be in his Euro 2012 23 man squad.

Technically the final 23 man England squad will be submitted to UEFA on the 29th May but to avoid confusion and to give football punters who`d backed the 23 players their rewards early, Coral will pay out now and should any player get injured and be replaced prior to the 29th May, Coral will pay out on the replacement too.

"In theory this is not the official 23 man squad but we are not going to hide behind a technicality, nor do we want to start what promises to be a brilliant build-up to Euro 2012 on a negative note. We will pay out on all 23 players named today and if we then have to pay out on replacements prior to 29th May we will take it on the chin as in the cosmic scheme of things it is small change versus the many millions that will be bet on the tournament", said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

"We lost money on Defoe and Ruddy who were well backed over the last two days but gambles went astray on Carrick and Jagielka so all in all we escaped relatively intact", added Clare.

So it stands on Danish first Division football. Esbjerg is sure to return to the Super League next season. Esbjerg meetings absolute bottom team from Blokhus.
It is true, Esbjerg has not much to play for, but still believe they are not gone for the summer and continue their good form. In the spring, the only loss a single match and it was in last round against Randers (0-2) otherwise see their spring form like this: 6-0-1 with a goalscorer at 15-5
Conversely, Blokhus lost all 7 games this spring with a goal scorer at 5-19.

Esbjerg has an away team to score at 22-8 for the season and have only lost one away game
Blokhus has a home scores of 11-18 and have only won one match.

Am expecting Esbjerg shows that they are a worthy Super League teams and beats Blokhus out of bounds.

My tip is Esbjerg (-1.50) at odds of 1.90.
